We are here for you, in any practical way we can be, especially on the 10th September.

From 9 am to 6 pm UK time, Aurora Dawn Campbell, Business Director, David Monro-Jones, Operations Director, and Teresha Young, Head of Mental Health & Well-being, will be holding space for anyone who would like to talk about what’s on their mind and in their heart.

This day is for anyone and everyone, regardless of career, business or employment status; you are invited to drop in anytime during these hours for a chat or a private conversation with one of us and if we can’t help you, perhaps we can signpost you to someone better qualified to support you. You’ve nothing to lose and potentially a lot to gain.

Here is Teresha’s story:

Back in 2009, after two challenging years of struggling with deep feelings of sadness and depression, I reached a point where I felt completely overwhelmed and lost. That experience marked a turning point in my life, and it’s one that I’m passionate about sharing, especially with those who may be encountering my story for the first time.

Despite having a wonderful support network, I never reached out to them, as I wanted to appear “strong and stable,” masking what I was truly experiencing. I kept up my daily functions whilst continuing to support others both professionally and personally.

However, in a moment of despair, I attempted to end my life ?

Thankfully, my plan didn’t work. I sought professional help, and I’m grateful every day that I am still here to tell my story ??

Suicide can be prevented – but only if we break the stigma surrounding it and encourage people to have open conversations about their mental health.

We often never know what another person is going through, what struggles are hidden behind a smile or silence.

In 2021, I took a further step in my journey by completing Suicide Awareness training. This training taught me how to SEE, SAY, and SIGNPOST – critical skills that help us support those in need by starting conversations that could save lives.

The training is free, takes no more than 20 minutes, and could be the difference between life and death. If you’re interested, search online for ‘ZSA Suicide Awareness training’ ??

Moving from a place of mental hellness to mental wellness has been a transformative journey for me.

It is one of the reasons why I’m in the professional field of wellness and relationships, as I know how the power of connection – with oneself and with others – instils hope, mental health, and vitality ?

In a world facing a global health crisis, connection is more vital than ever!

Sending flourishing energy and uplifting thoughts to anyone who may need it right now ???
