With all the rain we have had in the last few days it is good for the soul to look at it from a different perspective. Here are 5 positive things that we can focus on to see how life, like the rain, can bring growth, wash away grime and release new beginnings.
Rain Comes to An End – You may have been or are going through a difficult time, but like the monsoon season, it will come to an end. While you are in the rainy season keep your mind focused on the future.
Rain Makes Things Smell Fresh – At the end of a short rainfall there is a beautiful smell when the sun comes back out. It’s a lovely surprise that tends to be forgotten during the dreary downpour. So, when life smells of damp, reminisce and remember the freshness that a large downfall can bring.
Rain Washes Away the Grime – Rain makes cars and pavements look clean. Sometimes a long stint of rain is needed to wash away the deep layers of dirt. In the same way that rain cleanses physical things, while you are in a sad season think about what needs to be cleaned or washed away on the inside.
Rain Means Growth – In the circle of life, rain is needed to make plants grow. When going through tough times, it is important to let our times of being drenched enable us to become a better version of ourselves.
Rain Enables Life – Our bodies depend on water to survive. Every cell, tissue, and organ need water to work and would not function if we didn’t drink water. When looking out of the window at another downpour, remember how rainwater is needed for our own personal health.
