To everyone reading my post, you’ve stumbled upon a human who lives and breathes all things people, processes, and mindset, rather than a robot. Yes, I’m one of those people who thinks that fostering connection and collaboration in the workplace is the key to creating teams that thrive—both professionally and personally.

Let’s start with the essentials: I’m a People First Agile Coach with a knack for leading change, mentoring, listening, and providing just the right nudge to help you realise your full potential. But enough of the serious stuff for now—let’s have a little fun, shall we?

My Values and Beliefs

I’m a firm believer in these key values:

  • Empathy: It’s about seeking to understand, not just hearing. I approach every conversation and coaching session with a focus on listening actively and connecting with people where they are.
  • Growth Mindset: I’m all about the incremental progress. Big transformations don’t happen overnight, but small, consistent steps leads to massive change.
  • Psychological Safety: The best teams are those where everyone feels safe to speak their truth, make mistakes, and learn without fear of judgement.
  • Joy: Yes, I said it. Joy. Work doesn’t have to be all serious business all the time. A little laughter goes a long way in creating an environment where creativity and collaboration flourish.
  • Curiosity: It’s the fuel that drives continuous improvement. I stay curious and encourage others to do the same, as it keeps things fresh and innovative.

People First Agile Coach

I like to think of my job as a sort of professional people-wrangler (without the lasso). As an Agile Coach, I focus on aligning people and processes, helping teams become more self-sufficient while creating sustainable change. I don’t just advocate for Agile frameworks—I help individuals and organisations realise that Agile isn’t just a set of processes, it’s a mindset. And once that lightbulb goes off, it’s a beautiful thing to see.

Accredited Fellow Coach and Mentor (AFC/M). In my role as an AFC/M, I offer space for what’s needed, be that deep, meaningful conversations, or just a place to be heard.

I empower people to be the best versions of themselves. Coaching isn’t about giving advice; it’s about asking the right questions to help you uncover your own answers. It’s magic, really.

Why I Volunteered for the IAPC&M

I’m a volunteer for the International Authority for Professional Coaching & Mentoring (IAPC&M) management team because I believe in the power of professional coaching and mentoring to change lives. Plus I wanted to give something back.

When I first came across the IAPC&M, I was immediately drawn to their commitment to high standards, ethical practices, and supporting the development of coaches and mentors across the world. I wanted to be part of an organisation that believes in people and their potential. Volunteering allows me to contribute to the growth of the coaching profession while staying connected with like-minded professionals.

I’m currently supporting the IAPC&M with their Ways of Working (otherwise known as WOW), which, let me tell you, has been a rewarding challenge. I bring my Agile mindset to the table, encouraging a more flexible, collaborative, and iterative approach to everythingwe do. It’s about making small, continuous improvements, one step at a time. Change doesn’t have to be big to be impactful.

A Fun and Happy Summary

At the end of the day, my work is all about acceptance. I offer acceptance to every person I work with—whether you’re a leader, team member, or a fellow coach. I meet you where you are, and together, we figure out how to move forward. It’s about supporting you on your journey and helping you create positive, incremental changes that last.

So, if you’re looking for someone to help you unlock your team’s potential, improve your processes, or simply have a laugh while you do it, I’m your coach. Let’s make work a little more fun, a little more human, and a lot more effective. Together, we’ll make great things happen!

That’s me, Neal, a human; always ready for a chat, a challenge, and making a change.
